Originally designed with my own children in mind, these guitars offer a quality instrument that provides chord voicings easily translatable to their grown-up counterparts. What started as a family project has far exceeded expectations, with 1/2pints now finding their way into live concerts, recordings, church services, and more. They add a unique and unparalleled musical voice to any setting.

Like all our full-sized models, every 1/2pint is crafted in our U.S. workshop with hand-carved necks and bodies, original design elements, and exceptional playability. Each neck features vintage string spacing, just like the original T-style guitars—now in a 4-string version. The scale length mirrors that of classic mandolins at 13 7/8”, and while they come strung like the low end of a standard guitar (EADG), they also work beautifully strung like a ukulele (GCEA).

The Anaheim 1/2 pints are short-scale versions of our full-sized Anaheim guitars and basses, voiced an octave higher to cut through any mix with power and clarity. These custom shop instruments are not only lightweight and travel-friendly, but they also maintain the same exceptional tone and build quality you expect from JLC Guitars. Whether you're on stage or on the road, the Anaheim 1/2 pint delivers performance that stands out.

The La Habra 1/2 pints are short-scale versions of our La Habra guitars and basses, voiced an octave higher to cut through any mix with exceptional power and clarity. Designed as custom shop instruments, they are lightweight and travel-friendly, yet never compromise on tone or build quality. Whether you're performing or recording, the La Habra 1/2 pint offers unmatched versatility and sonic presence.
