"I have had my JLC fretless bass for nearly a decade and have absolutely loved it. The craftsmanship is stunning. The sound and feel of the bass are inspiring. Both live and in the studio I've gotten compliments about how incredible it sounds. The tone is solid without being too big or woofy. It sits so beautifully in a mix and has a perfect mid-range presence kind of similar to a p-bass, but with its own unique character. It is very smooth and easy to play. The neck and string spacing are more similar to a fender jazz bass, which I love. 

The added joy of getting to play this bass has been getting to know John over the years. He is an incredible man and builds with passion and also with purpose. He told me the story about where the wood came from that he used to make my bass and why he chose it. That additional level of care is what makes JLC guitars truly special."
